The wavy texture of this design is formed by interspacing broad ribbons of felt. As they stretch across the surface, bands of fabric form a chequerboard of flat planes and steep curves, alternating squares of light and shadowy semicircles.
A network of textile strands evoke the meandering veins that trail across the surfaces of tree leaves. As they trace the base fabric of this design, they form a textile abstraction of one of nature’s signature motifs.
Laine’s wavy texture is created by lateral ribs spaced evenly across it surface. It evokes a landscape of verdant hills, promoting a softly organic aesthetic that brings a topographical map to mind.
